Job Description
Overview The Stone Independent School is seeking a reliable, safety-minded Van Driver to provide daily student transportation between Lancaster and Berks County. Responsibilities Drive a daily morning and afternoon route between Lancaster and Berks County on school days. Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for students. Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment in the van. Complete basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety checks. Communicate promptly with the school regarding delays, vehicle concerns, or other issues. Follow all Stone Independent School transportation procedures and applicable transportation regulations. Qualifications Valid CDL required. Clean driving record. Ability to complete all required background checks and clearances. Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working with children and adolescents. Previous school transportation or professional driving experience preferred. Hours & Compensation Approximately 20-25 hours per week during the school year. Morning and afternoon routes on school days. $27.50 per hour. The ideal candidate is someone who values safety, reliability, and positive relationships with students and who can be a consistent, trusted presence at the beginning and end of each school day.
