Daylight Help our residents get where they need to go—with safety, kindness, and a smile. Messiah Lifeways is looking for a dependable, friendly Transportation Assistant to join our team. In this PRN role, you will help residents, family members, team members, and guests travel safely to appointments, activities, errands, outings, special events, and more. If you enjoy helping people, staying on the move, and making each trip feel comfortable and cared for, this could be a great fit! What You'll Do Safely transport residents and supplies using Messiah Lifeways fleet vehicles, including vans, cars, wheelchair vans, or buses. Assist residents with care and respect, including properly securing wheelchairs for safe travel Communicate clearly with residents, families, team members, and the Transportation Coordinator. Keep accurate mileage and time records and help maintain clean, well-stocked vehicles. Stay alert to safety needs, traffic laws, weather conditions, and emergency procedures. Pitch in with additional transportation needs, including occasional mornings, evenings, weekends, or special events. You'll Be a Great Fit If You Are At least 18 years old. Friendly, patient, and willing to work with older adults. Customer-service focused with strong attention to detail. A safe, aware driver who can work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and in varied weather conditions. A clear and respectful communicator with basic computer skills or willingness to learn. Why Join Messiah Lifeways? Every ride matters, and so does the person behind the wheel. What You'll Need High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with no more than one violation within the last five years. Ability to meet physical requirements such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing wheelchairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
