  • Part-time Solebury School (New Hope, PA) seeks a dependable and friendly Van Driver for the 2026-2027 school year.
Our drivers play an important role in our school community by providing safe, reliable transportation for our students. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with young people, values safety, and takes pride in being a positive ambassador for the school. Every time one of our vans leaves campus, it represents the values of Solebury School. Our drivers are often one of the first and last people students see each day, and they help create a positive experience for our families. We're looking for someone who is committed to safety, treats everyone with kindness and respect, and takes pride in representing our school with professionalism and care.
General hours:
Mornings:
6am
  • 8:30am Afternoons 3:00pm
  • 5:30pm and/ or 5:00pm
  • 7:30pm
Essential Functions:
Safely operate a school van in accordance with all traffic laws, school policies, and safety procedures Pick up and drop off students according to established routes and schedules Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and basic maintenance checks Practice safe, defensive driving at all times Learn and follow assigned transportation routes Keep the van clean and presentable Help maintain a safe, respectful environment for students during transportation Attend occasional meetings to discuss transportation updates and share ideas for improving our service Work collaboratively with fellow drivers and school staff
Job Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices A patient, courteous, and professional attitude when interacting with students, families, and other drivers The ability to safely supervise passengers while operating the vehicle Dependability, good judgment, and strong attention to detail Physical requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while driving Ability to remain focused and attentive, particularly during challenging driving conditions Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow Since its founding in 1925, Solebury School has been a leader in progressive education.
