Overview
PART-TIME SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION DRIVER 1099
Independent Contractor Dunamis/FinixPro Transportation is seeking dependable, safety-conscious drivers to transport students to and from school throughout the Cleveland area. This is a part-time, 1099 independent-contractor opportunity with morning and afternoon assignments. Assigned company vehicles, fuel assistance and required training are provided.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday during the school year: Morning availability: 6:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Afternoon availability:
1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. No nights No weekends No scheduled work during school holidays and school breaks Drivers must be available for both the morning and afternoon portions of each accepted route. Responsibilities
DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely transport students according to approved route assignments. Complete all assigned morning and afternoon pickups and drop-offs. Follow approved student rosters, schedules, stops and reasonable route adjustments. Perform required vehicle inspections and immediately report maintenance or safety concerns. Record daily student counts for each assigned school or route. Maintain accurate route, attendance and inspection documentation. Ensure students use available seat belts and follow vehicle safety rules. Communicate professionally with dispatchers, parents, school personnel and company management. Promptly report accidents, incidents, student concerns, traffic violations and vehicle problems. Keep the assigned vehicle clean, smoke-free and ready for service. Follow all traffic laws, railroad-crossing requirements, district requirements and company safety policies. Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Valid driver's license. Acceptable driving record. Ability to pass required background and driving-record reviews. Ability to pass a drug screening, including screening for marijuana. Working smartphone with reliable telephone, text-message and GPS/map capabilities. Strong communication skills. Dependable attendance and ability to arrive on time. Ability to complete required physical, certification, training and compliance steps. Safe and approved location where an assigned company vehicle may be parked.
