Overview Join our dynamic team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver, where your role is vital in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to clients with medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential travel needs. As an NEMT Driver, you will operate passenger vehicles including vans, shuttles, and specialized medical transport vehicles, ensuring each passenger arrives comfortably and on time. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in your community while utilizing your driving expertise and excellent customer service skills. Duties Safely operate various passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, and medical transport vans in accordance with local and state transportation regulations. Transport clients to scheduled medical appointments, therapy sessions, pharmacies, and other destinations while adhering to designated routes and schedules. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Maintain clear communication with dispatch teams to confirm pick-up and drop-off times, route adjustments, or any unforeseen delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; perform basic maintenance checks including fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness. Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols diligently to ensure passenger safety at all times. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and client interactions for compliance and reporting purposes. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver or bus driver is highly desirable; familiarity with passenger van operation or shuttle driving is a strong plus. Experience in medical transportation or chauffeur driving enhances your ability to handle sensitive client needs professionally. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Ability to lift heavy items safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment; manual handling skills are essential. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and coordination with dispatch teams. Familiarity with local driving routes, traffic regulations, and state transportation laws ensures compliant operation of passenger vehicles. A valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; clean driving record required. Pay:
$15.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 - 50.0 per week
