Overview Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to those in need. In this energetic role, you'll operate passenger vehicles, including vans and shuttles, ensuring clients arrive at their medical appointments comfortably and on time. Your dedication to excellent customer service and adherence to safety standards will make a meaningful difference in our community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving expertise with compassionate client interaction, all while maintaining a flexible schedule. Responsibilities Safely operate various passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttle buses, or personal vehicles to transport clients on local routes Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols during every trip Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful service at all times Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage in accordance with safety guidelines Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and client interactions for reporting purposes Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or in similar passenger transportation roles Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type operated; clean driving record required Experience operating GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning Knowledge of local driving routes, traffic regulations, and state transportation laws Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively when assisting passengers or loading equipment Prior experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus but not required Excellent communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers and clients effectively Commitment to safe driving practices and maintaining vehicle safety standards This role is perfect for motivated drivers who thrive on helping others while showcasing their driving expertise. Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
