Responsibilities Prepare and serve balanced, kid-friendly meals and snacks according to approved menus and dietary guidelines Plan menus that incorporate nutritional standards, variety, and appealing presentation for young children Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, poaching, braising, and food production tools Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling techniques and recipe adherence for consistent quality Assist in food portioning, plating, and presentation to meet meal service standards Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, restocking as needed to support high-volume production demands Experience Prior dietary aide experience or similar roles within childcare or food service environments Proven track record in menu planning and meal preparation in high-volume settings such as restaurants or catering operations Extensive culinary experience including skills in grilling, braising, poaching, knife handling, and food safety management Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment and implementing food safety sanitizing procedures Experience working with dietary departments or managing special dietary needs for children or vulnerable populations Knowledge of food industry standards related to food handling, recipe adherence, and high-volume production processes Previous roles involving food service experience in fine dining or restaurant settings are highly desirable Embark on a rewarding journey where your culinary skills make a meaningful difference in children's lives!
