Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and responsible Childcare Van Driver to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe and timely transportation of children to and from school, daycare, or extracurricular activities. Your enthusiasm for driving and commitment to customer service will help create a positive experience for families and children alike. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a caring community while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate a childcare van, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations Pick up and drop off children at designated locations, following scheduled routes precisely Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other essential systems Assist children boarding and exiting the vehicle, providing support as needed with luggage or mobility aids Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and any incidents or delays during transportation Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding schedules or concerns Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as fueling, cleaning, and reporting repairs needed Experience Experience driving a 15 passenger van preferred Strong communication skills to interact professionally with children, parents, and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for loading/unloading children's belongings or equipment Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to ensure safety and reliability of the van Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Demonstrated customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for children and families Join us in making a difference by providing safe, reliable transportation that supports our community's youngest members. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
