Job Description

About the position This position is located at the City of Richland Hills' recreation center called The Link. This position is a permanent part-time position that can expect to minimally work 9-12 hours per week. Additional hours are available should the hired candidate be able to drive our seniors on field trips, or work as a counselor in our after school program. The top-out pay for this position is $16.11 per hour. This position pays 2X the hourly rate on city observed holidays.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Driving students, seniors, or event patrons safely in The Link's 14 passenger van or 14 passenger mini-bus.
  • During the school year driving shifts begin at 3 pm and end approximately at 5 pm
  • Senior trips typically start at 8-9 am and return by 2-3 pm.
Additional opportunities:
  • Hours are also available supervising and engaging with students during the after school program.
  • Hours are also available supervising private rentals at The Link on weekends.
This could be anything from a baby shower to a company holiday party.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid class C driver's license
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must pass a 10 panel drug screen
  • Must pass a reference check
  • Must enjoy working and being around people of all ages!
Skills:
  • 15 passenger van driving experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow routes and navigate efficiently
  • Knowledge of vehicle regulations and safety protocols
  • Must be CPR/AED certified within 6 months of employment Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
