During downtime between shuttle runs, you'll support the hotel as a Public Area Attendant , helping maintain clean, organized common areas and ensuring the property looks its best throughout the day. Duties Safely operate the hotel shuttle to transport guests to and from designated locations, ensuring every ride is timely, comfortable, and professional. Provide excellent guest service , including assisting with boarding, luggage, and answering basic hotel or local‑area questions. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shuttle runs (fuel level, lights, tires, cleanliness) and report any issues immediately. Maintain the shuttle's cleanliness throughout the shift, including wiping down seats, removing trash, and keeping the vehicle guest‑ready at all times. Follow all traffic laws and hotel safety policies to ensure secure transportation and protect guests and property. Assist with luggage handling or light lifting when needed. Support public area cleaning during downtime , including lobby upkeep, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common spaces to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Respond to guest requests and communicate effectively with front desk and hotel leadership to coordinate shuttle schedules and address any concerns. Perform basic maintenance checks (fluid levels, tire pressure, lights) and notify management of any required repairs. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; prior shuttle or guest‑transport experience preferred. Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly demeanor when interacting with guests. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs , including assisting guests with luggage when needed. Knowledge of basic traffic laws and safe driving practices relevant to operating a hotel shuttle. Basic understanding of vehicle upkeep , including checking fuel levels, tire pressure, lights, and reporting maintenance needs. Reliable time management , ensuring shuttle runs and public area duties are completed on schedule. Flexibility to work various shifts , including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to perform public area cleaning tasks , including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and maintaining lobby, hallways, elevators, and restrooms. Willingness to assist with outdoor upkeep , such as parking lots, sidewalks, and light landscaping tasks.
