Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Night Time Tow Operator / FlatBed Driver, where you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient vehicle recovery and towing operations during overnight hours. Your expertise in flatbed towing, vehicle mechanics, and customer service will help us deliver reliable roadside assistance and vehicle transport services. This position offers an energetic work environment dedicated to safety, precision, and professionalism, with opportunities to develop your skills in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, and commercial truck driving. Responsibilities Safely operate flatbed tow trucks and other commercial vehicles to recover, tow, and transport vehicles during night shifts. Securely load and unload vehicles onto flatbeds following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, minor repairs, and vehicle diagnostics to assess vehicle condition before towing or repair. Conduct safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and mechanical requirements. Assist with vehicle recovery towing operations, including accident scenes or breakdowns, utilizing proper techniques for vehicle mechanics for truck drivers. Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, including incident reports and shift documentation. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and emergency responders while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Skills Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and basic vehicle troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of flatbed towing techniques, cargo securement protocols, and safe vehicle loading procedures. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving and manual transmission operation. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and car towing operations. Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a positive attitude in challenging situations. Familiarity with vehicle recovery towing methods and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers. Excellent driving skills combined with a commitment to safety standards and traffic laws. Customer service skills that foster trust and satisfaction during roadside assistance or towing interactions.
