In this role, you will operate passenger vehicles designed for wheelchair accessibility, ensuring clients reach their destinations comfortably and on time. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to all safety and transportation regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate wheelchair-accessible passenger vehicles, including vans and shuttle buses, along designated local routes and medical transportation schedules Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing wheelchairs in compliance with safety standards Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and provide excellent customer service throughout each trip Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly Use GPS navigation systems to efficiently plan routes and adapt to traffic conditions for timely arrivals Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage while maintaining proper manual handling techniques Requirements Proven delivery driver experience or shuttle driving background, preferably with passenger vans or medical transportation services Valid driver's license appropriate for operating passenger vehicles, including bus or chauffeur licenses if required by local regulations Experience driving bus or limousine services is highly desirable Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to optimize efficiency Knowledge of state transportation regulations and safety standards for passenger vehicles and paratransit services Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely when assisting passengers or managing equipment Prior experience in medical transportation or client-focused driving roles is a plus Join us as a Wheelchair Driver and become an essential part of a team committed to providing reliable mobility solutions.
