Join JMC as a Kids Care Driver and help provide safe, reliable transportation for school-age children and families in your community. This position follows the local school calendar. When schools are closed for scheduled breaks, this role is generally not in operation. Schedule Drivers may work one or both shifts: Morning shift: Monday-Friday, 5:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
Afternoon shift:
Monday-Friday, 12:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. No weekends Position Overview JMC is seeking dependable, safety-conscious Kids Care Drivers to transport school-age children between home and school. Drivers play an important role in supporting children and families by providing a safe, calm, and respectful ride each day. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, punctual, and comfortable communicating with children, families, and JMC staff. Responsibilities Safely transport children to and from school according to assigned routes and schedules Greet children, families, and staff in a friendly, professional, age-appropriate manner Maintain a calm, safe, and positive environment inside the vehicle Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and child-safety procedures Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and well maintained Maintain appropriate professional boundaries; only authorized JMC staff and assigned children may be in the vehicle while on duty Communicate promptly and professionally with families and JMC staff regarding transportation needs or schedule changes Be prepared to travel outside city or county limits, including routes that may involve bridges or toll roads Qualifications Candidates must: Have at least 5 years of legal driving experience with a good driving record Have at least 1 year of experience working with children, caregiving, or serving vulnerable populations Be dependable, patient, responsible, and highly safety-conscious Have strong communication and customer-service skills Be punctual and able to follow a consistent schedule Be comfortable driving outside city or county limits when needed Requirements Valid driver's license Proof of current auto insurance Successful completion of a background check High school diploma or GED A clean/good driving record for the past 5 years A reliable four-door vehicle, model year 2010 or newer, in good working condition Compensation Starting pay of $20.00 per hour using company vehicle. Pay increase to $22 for those who use cars & insurance. Additional pay differential may be available for drivers who use their personal vehicle Mileage and toll reimbursement may be provided when using a personal vehicle Required Experience Working with children, caregiving, or vulnerable populations: 1 year required
