Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while on the road. Duties
- Safely drive passengers to their destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when loading and unloading passengers' belongings or equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with their needs during transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules and any changes in transportation plans.
- Operate shuttle services for schools or paratransit services as needed.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel usage, and passenger counts.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met. Experience
- Previous experience in driving roles such as school bus driving, shuttle driving, or limousine services is preferred.
- Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus.
- Experience with special needs is helpful not required.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with passengers and team members.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Experience as a van driver or in similar transport roles will be advantageous.
