The ideal candidate will have experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or as a delivery driver, with excellent customer service and communication skills. This role requires a professional with a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and providing a positive experience for children and their families. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the community while ensuring reliable transportation for young children. Duties Safely operate the daycare van during scheduled routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols Pick up and drop off children at designated locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle, providing support as needed Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, including routine inspections Communicate effectively with parents, daycare staff, and supervisors regarding route schedules or any issues Ensure the safety of all passengers by following proper driving procedures and safety guidelines Handle light lifting when necessary to secure or adjust child safety seats or equipment Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or as a commercial driver preferred Experience in customer service or working with children is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for child safety seats or equipment Strong communication skills to interact professionally with parents, staff, and children Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and safety procedures Paratransit or school bus driving experience is a plus but not mandatory Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing safe transportation services for children
