Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Transporter/Scheduler Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves coordinating transportation services, driving residents to and from appointments/patient activities, and ensuring seamless communication between care teams, patients, and families. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our community while developing valuable skills in healthcare logistics and patient support. Under the direction of the Activity Director. Responsibilities Organize and coordinate transportation for patients to and from medical appointments, hospital stays, and community activities Perform patient activities, and schedule appointments efficiently to optimize care delivery and resource utilization Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, families, and external agencies to confirm schedules and address any changes or emergencies Maintain accurate records of transportation logs, transportation schedules, and patient information while ensuring confidentiality Assist with patient care activities as needed, including mobility support and basic life support procedures Monitor transportation vehicles for safety compliance and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly Support staff by facilitating smooth patient flow within the facility and ensuring timely arrivals for scheduled treatments or procedures Requirements Requires a Class E drivers license and CPR certification or willing to obtain. Experience with critical care transport is advantageous but not mandatory Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment Good communication skills to liaise confidently with diverse teams and patients Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods as needed to perform duties efficiently Join us in making a meaningful difference by supporting our community's health journey! Pay:
$15.45 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:
