Trash Truck Driver

Job Description:

As a Trash Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a trash collection truck on designated routes, ensuring efficient and timely pickup of waste. You will also assist in loading and unloading materials and ensure that all safety regulations are followed at all times. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect residential and commercial waste. Load, unload, and transport waste materials in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure waste bins are properly emptied and handled with care. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition. Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure safety for yourself, other drivers, and pedestrians. Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors. Maintain a clean work area and ensure that the truck is properly cleaned and maintained. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from residents or businesses.

Qualifications:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Previous experience driving a trash truck or similar heavy-duty vehicle preferred, but not required. Ability to work early mornings and holidays as needed. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical labor. Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious attitude. Good communication and customer service skills.
