As an Imaging Cath Lab Tech in this travel role, you will play a vital part in cardiovascular care for adult and geriatric patients, utilizing advanced fluoroscopic and radiographic technology within the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role is ideal for techs ready to broaden their expertise on specialized teams, expand their clinical knowledge, and enjoy the benefits of travel nursing life.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate imaging equipment, coordinate with physicians and multiple departments during cardiac catheterization procedures Serve as computer operator, scrub assistant, second circulator, and recovery technician as needed Support the circulating RN in patient assessment, identify contraindications via drugs/lab values, and relay critical data Maintain meticulous documentation for all patient demographics and procedural details; monitor and analyze hemodynamic data and waveforms Assist in sterile procedures, including equipment setup and first-line assistance for physicians Ensure proper disposal of biohazards and accurate medication and solution labeling Respond confidently to emergency situations, including codes, per established policy Adhere to radiation safety protocols and continually assess compliance with guidelines Proactively communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in a Cath Lab setting required Strong technical knowledge of fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment Confidence in clinical coordination and emergency response Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
