This role demands a proactive leader who can manage carpentry teams, ensure project timelines are met, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. As a Travel Carpenter/Foreman, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, supervise skilled tradespeople, and collaborate with project managers to deliver exceptional results. Your expertise in construction management software, blueprint reading, and site supervision will drive project success while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and budget parameters. Duties Lead and supervise carpentry crews across various construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schematics and blueprints. Coordinate daily activities with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam to plan, schedule, and track project progress. Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets specifications and industry standards; address any issues promptly. Manage site safety by enforcing OSHA regulations and conducting regular safety meetings; ensure all team members are trained in safety procedures. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; interpret construction plans for proper execution of tasks. Oversee budgeting activities related to labor, materials, and equipment; assist with construction estimating and contract management. Supervise the use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; ensure proper handling of all equipment on-site. Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, incident logs, and project schedules; communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in carpentry or related trades. Demonstrated management skills with supervising experience in fast-paced construction environments. Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera (P6), HeavyBid, and other relevant tools. Knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, contracts management, and project scheduling techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with construction schematics is essential. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and OSHA certification preferred. Hands-on experience with construction site activities such as framing, finishing work, or heavy civil projects involving pipelines or infrastructure is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams across multiple locations; leadership qualities that motivate teams toward excellence.
