Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Travel Nestled in scenic western Kentucky, this travel nursing opportunity in the lively town of Kevil brings the chance to explore a region known for tranquil riverways, rich local heritage, and easy access to outdoor adventures. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, observe varied leadership practices, and strengthen your adaptability—all while discovering everything this charming corner of Kentucky has to offer on your days off. Schedule & Hours Night shift, 12-hour shifts Every other weekend/holiday required Position Overview As a Critical Care RN, you'll coordinate, assess, plan, and evaluate patient care for adults and geriatric populations within a 13+ bed ICU, managing complex conditions and advanced life-support technologies. Direct patient teaching, rounding with the care team, and ongoing care coordination ensure comprehensive and high-quality experiences for patients and their families. Responsibilities Lead comprehensive clinical assessments and ongoing patient monitoring Implement, revise, and evaluate individualized care plans Administer critical care drips, manage ventilators, central lines, chest tubes, wound vacs, and other ICU equipment Handle cardiac and advanced critical care emergencies, including ventilator and hemodynamic management Collaborate closely with PCAs, HUCs, and interdisciplinary teams for seamless care Serve as a patient/family advocate, ensuring clear communication and compassionate support Respond to evolving critical care needs and emergency situations with skill and confidence Qualifications Active RN license (state or compact) BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred Minimum of 4 years' RN ICU experience (open to those with less) At least two completed travel contracts preferred Proficient in cardiac and all critical care drips Previous experience with high-acuity patients, ventilator management, and multi-organ support Additional certifications (CCRN, TNCC, NIH Stroke) a plus Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Perks & Benefits Tax-advantaged stipends for housing and meals Travel assistance for seamless relocation Premium compensation Comprehensive healthcare coverage and 401(k) options for financial security Job stability in a well-respected facility Broaden your nursing career while discovering new vistas and cultures.
