Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Travel Step into a vital role supporting cardiovascular surgery patients as a specialized Registered Nurse in a dynamic surgical environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to leverage your clinical expertise in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing, working alongside accomplished surgical teams to deliver excellent patient care.
Schedule & Shift Details:
12-hour day shifts 36 hours per week 13-week assignment On-call rotation: 1 weekend of call per month, plus 1-2 on-call shifts during the week
Required Qualifications:
Valid and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a CVOR setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Strong knowledge of CVOR protocols, instrumentation, and surgical safety standards Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative staff Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care throughout the cardiovascular surgical process, ensuring patient safety and comfort Prepare the cardiovascular operating room for procedures by setting up sterile instrumentation and equipment Monitor patient status and vital signs during procedures, acting swiftly in emergent situations Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in patient records Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols and hospital safety procedures Actively communicate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth workflow and positive patient outcomes This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate CVOR nurse ready to take on a pivotal role in surgical care.
