Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent cardiovascular operating room technician credential. Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR experience in an acute care setting. Proficiency with cardiovascular surgical equipment and sterile technique. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Adaptable, dependable, and able to thrive within dynamic, fast-paced surgical teams.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain cardiovascular operating suites and instruments before, during, and after procedures. Assist surgeons and nurses during complex cardiac and vascular surgeries. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and sterile field protocols. Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure efficient case flow. Accurately document procedures and maintain detailed surgical records. Provide support for emergency interventions as needed.
