Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Travel Discover a dynamic travel opportunity in Moundville, AL—a community where Southern hospitality meets a thriving healthcare atmosphere. Explore the scenic charm of Alabama while enhancing your clinical skills in a fast-paced surgical environment. Travel assignments here offer the perfect mix of professional enrichment and life outside the hospital: take in local culture, nature, and regional history during your downtime. As a CVOR Surgical Tech, you will work alongside seasoned healthcare professionals, gaining exposure to a variety of approaches and leadership styles while supporting high-acuity procedures. This role boosts your resume with valuable, in-demand experience and expands your expertise through collaboration on an array of surgical cases—chiefly open-heart procedures, with additional involvement in other OR specialties as patient needs arise.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Required emergency call rotation: every third week for 7 days Holidays as required
Responsibilities:
Assist RNs and surgical teams during open heart and other surgical cases Maintain a safe, respectful environment for patients and families Adhere to strict standards of aseptic technique and hospital protocols Ensure the preparation and sterilization of instruments and operating areas Support and mentor fellow team members in a collaborative setting
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent AHA or Red Cross BLS certification Completion of College Anatomy and Physiology I, or certified Central Sterile Processing Technician, or hospital-approved Surgical Tech certificate course At least 2 years of relevant experience (will consider 18 months with a year of recent specialty experience) Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
