Cerner Schedule:
PRN/Per Diem schedule with the flexibility to pick up shifts, as well as a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

N/A Additional Details about the position Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient. Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Handles a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations. These duties range in complexity and skill, and all aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service skills and a strong commitment to working well with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other dental office team members.
Job Responsibilities:
  • GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation may be required.
  • Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
  • Apply fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
  • Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
  • Record and review patient medical histories.
  • Uphold office policy including
HIPAA & OSHA.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Order and keep track of inventory as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a medical/clinical environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, x-rays, and phones.
  • This job operates in a well-lighted, sterile environment.
Employees must wear gloves, masks, protective eye wear, and clothing to protect themselves and their patients from infectious disease.
Physical Demands:
  • The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; stand and/or sit for long periods of time; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to blood and blood-borne pathogens and/or physical risks, which will require OSHA training.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One (1) year of hands-on experience as a hygienist. GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation experience. Preferred Skills & Experience:
N/A CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS CPR
X-ray training or certification
LICENSURE REQUIREMENT
Hold a current state-issued Dental Hygiene license.
