Job Description

Must hold current certification in echocardiography as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI. A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Tech required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A healthcare facility in Austell, GA is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer skilled in echocardiography for a travel assignment. This role focuses on performing comprehensive cardiac imaging, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, following precise laboratory protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a full range of cardiac imaging exams and related measurements. Provide preliminary findings orally to the interpreting physician as requested. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout echocardiogram procedures. Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Administer Ultrasound Enhancing Agents (UEA) and conduct saline bubble studies if required. Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays. Support the department with other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Proven experience in cardiac sonography with expertise in echocardiograms. Ability to perform adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echo exams. Competence in administering UEA and saline bubble studies. Strong communication skills and patient-centered care approach. Must be willing to work on-call, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
