Job Description

Monterey's unique blend of breathtaking Pacific coastline, world-renowned culinary delights, and vibrant arts scene offers a rewarding destination for travel nurses. During your assignment, you'll have the opportunity to explore scenic trails, historic sites, and enjoy the local charm during your downtime. This role places you in a dynamic, high-performing ER within a Level II Trauma and Teaching Hospital boasting 172 beds. As the only trauma center servicing Monterey County and neighboring communities, this facility offers invaluable experience for professional growth. You'll be exposed to a spectrum of patient needs and fast-paced scenarios, all as part of an award-winning environment recognized for excellence in the region. With 19 ER beds and an average of 170 daily patients, you'll collaborate with a committed team, supported by dedicated Charge RNs and break nurses to ensure manageable workloads and consistent patient care. Schedule/Hours:
Flexible travel nurse schedule Rotating shifts may be required based on departmental needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the emergency department Prioritize rapid and accurate assessment and intervention for diverse populations Communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff Utilize triage protocols in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital compliance standards
Qualifications:
Active RN license, eligible for employment in California Minimum of one year of recent ER experience preferred BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required TNCC certification highly desirable Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
