Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Travel Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care. This role offers the chance to utilize your acute care skills in a dynamic, high-volume emergency department within a comprehensive regional medical center. With a 32-bed ED, Level 3 NICU, and specialized centers for neurology, cardiology, oncology, and surgery, this setting promises professional growth and exposure to a variety of complex cases.
Schedule & Hours:
Orientation provided bi-weekly Contract position with travel requirement
Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered RN license Minimum of one year of recent ER experience strongly preferred BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Advanced assessment, triage, and patient stabilization skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
Responsibilities:
Deliver prompt, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting in the emergency department Perform comprehensive assessments, initiate care plans, and document accurate and timely clinical information Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, and support staff to maximize patient outcomes Respond to trauma and acute care situations, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices Support organizational safety and infection prevention standards Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
