Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Travel Step into a vital imaging role that leverages your expertise in interventional radiology. This contract opportunity calls for a skilled imaging professional with a strong background in IR procedures. You'll have the chance to work alongside a dedicated team, supporting innovative patient care and contributing to a collaborative environment. Previous experience in neuro IR is highly valued, although comprehensive training is provided for those transitioning from other radiologic modalities.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position (specific schedule provided upon interview)
Required Qualifications:
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of two years' relevant experience Valid radiology license in the state of New York Demonstrated experience or interest in interventional radiology
Key Responsibilities:
Select appropriate exposure factors and achieve optimal patient positioning to consistently generate diagnostic-quality images Work seamlessly with departmental staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly Uphold a professional and compassionate approach with patients, respecting their rights and privacy Administer oral contrast and assist in radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures as needed Operate all x-ray, CR, and DR equipment proficiently; promptly report malfunctions Maintain medication security and participate in medication management practices Ensure timely completion of assigned procedures, assist in departmental tasks such as clerical work, stocking, and patient transport Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and PACS Support performance improvement initiatives and sustain HIPAA confidentiality standards Address technical inquiries from hospital staff, maintaining professionalism in all communications If you excel in a fast-paced clinical imaging environment and possess the required credentials, your next rewarding opportunity awaits.
