Responsibilities:
Explain procedures clearly and prepare patients with compassion. Gather and review patient medical history relevant to interventional imaging. Prepare contrast media, medications, and IV solutions for imaging procedures. Set up and maintain sterile equipment, contrast injectors, monitors, and supplies. Collaborate with radiologists on complex interventional procedures. Monitor patient condition before, during, and after interventions. Operate imaging systems to capture diagnostic-quality images. Apply best practices in radiation safety and ALARA principles. Troubleshoot PACS/RIS and ensure high-quality image management. Participate in quality assurance checks and documentation. Mentor new staff and students as needed. Uphold standards of excellence and open, respectful communication within the team.
Qualifications:
ARRT (R) certification required; IR certification preferred. Prior experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. Proficient in interventional procedure protocols and imaging equipment. BLS certification (current). Detail-oriented, able to multitask, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
