Category Imaging - MRI Job Type Travel Advance your imaging expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment as an MRI professional. In this contract role, you'll play a vital part in supporting diagnostic excellence and patient care using state-of-the-art MRI technology. Schedule/Hours Contract position Key Responsibilities Position patients on the examining table and accurately place the appropriate coil (receiver), following protocols specified by the Radiologist to ensure optimal imaging. Communicate effectively with patients during examinations, demonstrating the use of the built-in microphone for updates, reassurance, and safety instructions. Enter pertinent data such as patient history, scan orientation, and the specific anatomical area to be examined into the MRI system's computer interface. Utilize the MRI console to select scan sequences, and adjust transmitters and receivers for precise imaging as directed. Closely observe patients during procedures from the control room and via closed-circuit TV to ensure safety, comfort, and compliance with MRI protocols. Monitor and assess scan images in real-time on video displays for clarity and accuracy, making necessary adjustments to maintain the highest image quality standards. Photograph images by inputting necessary data on the camera's keyboard for documentation and further review. Ensure safety protocols are strictly enforced, particularly regarding the hazard of ferromagnetic objects near the magnet. Perform other related duties as assigned, supporting the department's workflow and patient-driven mission. Qualifications Certification in MRI technology (ARRT or equivalent) required. Demonstrated experience in MRI imaging, with strong patient positioning and safety awareness. Knowledge of MRI equipment operation and relevant computer systems. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Ability to follow radiologist protocols and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
