Job Description

Category Imaging - MRI Job Type Travel Set against the picturesque backdrop of Racine, WI, this travel imaging role provides an excellent chance to expand your MRI expertise while embracing the charm of Lake Michigan's shoreline communities. Racine's vibrant arts scene, unique architecture, and accessible proximity to Milwaukee provide countless opportunities for memorable weekend explorations and relaxation during your downtime. Professionally, this position places you in a dynamic environment at a large, innovative medical center. Working with five advanced MRI scanners in a facility recognized for its Magnet designation and primary stroke care, you'll interact with a broad spectrum of cases—ranging from outpatient and inpatient to emergency situations. With a weekly census of 250-300 patients, your exposure to diverse patient populations (including neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, and complex device cases) will greatly enhance your technical skills and broaden your clinical perspective. Mentorship from experienced leaders and collaboration with supportive imaging assistants ensure you'll never work alone, making this a valuable setting for professional growth and confidence-building.
Schedule/Hours:
Weekend rotation: maximum every 3rd weekend
On-call:
Sat & Sun nights (overnight); first-shift backup on-call rotates weekly (weekend on-call about every 8 weeks) Flex compensatory weekday off after weekend on-call 3-day orientation provided
Qualifications:
3-5 years of recent MRI experience; first-time travelers welcome ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification and BLS required Comfort with GE and Siemens MRI scanners (Discovery 750W, Aera, and Magentom Skyra) Experience with EPIC and McKesson PACS, and patients requiring advanced imaging (e.g., ventilated, sedated, cardiac)
Responsibilities:
Operate MRI equipment for a diverse mix of ED, inpatient, whole-body, and neuro cases Ensure safety standards, particularly for patients with implantable devices Collaborate with lead technologists and assistants; work with 1:1 patient ratio Adhere to charting and documentation protocols Why travel here?
