Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-NICU Job Type Travel Step into a vital role providing critical care for newborns in a specialized neonatal intensive care setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced nurses dedicated to delivering expert care and support to infants and their families in a dynamic hospital environment.
Schedule/Hours:
Three 12-hour shifts per week Night shift
Qualifications:
Active RN license 1+ year of recent NICU experience preferred Valid RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required BLS and NRP certifications current and in good standing Strong clinical decision-making and assessment skills Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill or premature infants within the NICU Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage ventilators or specialized equipment as needed Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to provide cohesive care plans Educate and support parents and families through infant care procedures and updates Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records Respond swiftly and effectively to emergent situations in accordance with unit protocols
