Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Bring your occupational therapy expertise to a dynamic hospital environment dedicated to supporting patient recovery and well-being. This contract role offers the chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing therapeutic techniques to deliver high-quality care to individuals in various stages of treatment and rehabilitation.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Occupational Therapist license Previous hospital-based OT experience is highly desired Proficiency in evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment programs Strong interpersonal skills for patient, family, and team communication Ability to document patient progress accurately and thoroughly Knowledge of safety protocols and evidence-based therapy practices
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess each patient's physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to develop customized therapy plans Administer a variety of occupational therapy interventions, adapting to individual patient needs Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment strategies as necessary Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care Educate patients and families on exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies to foster independent living Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines throughout service delivery Participate in case conferences and contribute to discharge planning when needed This opportunity is ideal for compassionate, adaptable OTs seeking to make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes within a hospital setting.
