Job Description
Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized therapy services for physically disabled patients in a hospital setting. This travel opportunity is based in Culdesac, ID, at a reputable medical center focused on acute rehabilitation and patient-centered care. The primary role involves evaluating, designing, and adapting age-appropriate treatment plans to maximize patients' functional abilities during hospitalization. Participation in discharge planning, performance improvement initiatives, and administrative duties are key components of the position.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and functional abilities Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment programs Modify therapy plans based on patient progress and clinical findings Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning Participate in performance improvement processes and maintain documentation Engage in professional development activities and fulfill additional duties as assignedQualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Idaho Occupational Therapist license (must be attached to submission) American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (attached submission required) Minimum of 2 years recent hospital Occupational Therapy experience, preferably in acute rehabilitation Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team Strong communication and record-keeping skills, including electronic medical records (EMR)Schedule:
Wednesday through Saturday, four 10-hour shiftsLocation Overview:
