Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Travel Step into a key nursing role supporting patient care in a dynamic operating room setting. This position calls for a Registered Nurse (RN) with recent experience in perioperative nursing, demonstrating strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license Prior experience in an operating room or surgical services preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Familiarity with perioperative safety standards and infection control protocols Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team Exceptional critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients and the operating environment for surgical procedures according to established protocols Circulate or scrub as assigned in various surgical cases, ensuring efficiency and safety Monitor patient status throughout procedures, maintaining accurate documentation and prompt communication with surgeons and anesthesiologists Anticipate needs of the surgical team, providing instruments, supplies, and assistance as necessary Uphold sterile technique and adhere to hospital safety regulations at all times Participate in postoperative care and patient transfer, supporting optimal recovery and continuity of care This contract role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff, making a positive impact on patient outcomes while building your clinical expertise.
