Schedule/Hours:
Travelers begin assignments on Wednesdays During orientation week for 48-hour contracts, 36 hours guaranteed due to midweek start On-call rotation: one night per week and every fourth weekend, with a 30-minute response requirementRole Overview:
As an Operating Room RN, you will be directly involved in all aspects of perioperative nursing, from pre-operation to post-anesthesia care. This dynamic, cross-disciplinary environment encourages growth, allowing you to serve as a circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU RN. Exposure to a critical access setting means every contribution you make supports impactful, patient-centered outcomes. Comprehensive orientation and cross-training ensure you expand your capabilities while making a significant difference in a close-knit care team.Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across all surgical phases Serve in a variety of roles: circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU RN (cross-training available) Uphold AORN standards and participate in surgical safety checks such as time-outs Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia, and an interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient careRequired Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited RN program Current Vermont or multistate RN license At least two years of perioperative nursing experience Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Strong clinical judgment, collaborative communication, and critical thinking abilityBenefits & Perks:
