Job Description

This role, focused on post-anesthesia care in a pediatric setting, involves working in a high-acuity, academically driven, and supportive environment. With access to the diverse practices of a large teaching hospital and hands-on learning in a Level 1 Trauma Center, you'll expand your skillset and enhance your resume with cutting-edge clinical experiences. You'll grow by collaborating with teams that value initiative, teamwork, and continual learning.
Schedule:
Travel assignment (detailed schedule to be provided)
Qualifications:
Active RN licensure with at least 1 year of critical care pediatric experience (2 years preferred) Minimum of one prior travel assignment completed BLS and PALS certifications required Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, common ICU medication management, and pediatric post-op care Experience with EPIC EMR, Omnicell, Alaris pumps, and Philips monitors a plus Team-oriented, resourceful, and adaptable, with strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality care for pediatric PACU patients (inpatient and outpatient, ages 0-17), occasionally adults by unit need Monitor post-anesthesia recovery, manage drips commonly seen in ICU settings, and promptly respond to changes in patient condition Collaborate in an open bay unit with dedicated support staff, PACU educators, and 24/7 anesthesia availability Participate in departmental functions including patient transport and coordination
