Key Responsibilities:

Closely monitor patients' vital signs and levels of consciousness post-procedure. Quickly identify and respond to any changes in patient status or adverse reactions to anesthesia. Administer medications and treatments according to PACU protocols and physician orders. Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care, expected recovery processes, and discharge instructions. Work collaboratively with physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless continuum of care. Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Previous experience in PACU, critical care, or surgical recovery preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork and patient interaction. Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced and changing clinical situations.
