Job Description
Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Experience the charm of Capron, VA, a welcoming community perfectly situated for professionals seeking a balance of career growth and enriching adventures. As a travel Physical Therapist in this area, you'll have the chance to broaden your expertise by working within a primarily outpatient clinic setting, with exposure to medical/surgical, inpatient, and same-day surgery (including total knee procedures). Enjoy professional development as you interact with a range of patient needs and collaborate with diverse teams, all while expanding your resume with meaningful, resume-building clinical experiences.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm On-call rotation every 4th weekend for inpatient coverageDesired Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor's required, doctorate preferred) Active, current Physical Therapy license for the State of Virginia Demonstrated competency through ongoing education, in-services, and learning opportunities CPR Certification (current and unexpired) Previous outpatient and/or hospital therapy experience preferred Specialty certification (OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, or Women's Health) a plusKey Responsibilities:
Evaluate, plan, and implement patient-centric Physical Therapy services in accordance with professional standards and state laws Manage a caseload of approximately 7-8 patients per day Utilize both standardized and non-standardized assessment tools Develop individualized treatment plans considering patient age, diagnosis, and goals Collaborate with the patient, family, caregivers, and broader healthcare team to promote best outcomes and discharge planning Adjust interventions as needed based on patient progress and response to treatment Educate patients and families, and participate in fitness/wellness programs and community initiatives Engage in ongoing process improvement and professional educationBenefits and Travel Perks:
