Job Description:

Job Summary:

As a Travel Plaza Cashier at Onvo, you will be the face of our convenience store, providing exceptional customer service and accurately processing transactions for fuel, merchandise, and food items in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, answering questions about products and services. Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to ring up sales, handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and rotating merchandise as needed. Process fuel transactions and assist customers with fuel pump issues if necessary. Handle lottery sales and redemptions in accordance with company policy and state regulations. Assist with preparing and serving food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally and efficiently, escalating to management when necessary. Perform basic cleaning duties throughout the store, including restrooms and food service areas. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and safety.

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or cashier role is a plus. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be at least 18 years of age due to the sale of certain age-restricted products. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Pay:

$16 per hour
