Desired Qualifications:

Active NY RN license BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association) Telemetry competency Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct intake assessments via patient and family interviews to collect medical and behavioral histories Develop, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for psychiatric patients Assess and document the medical and emotional status of patients, recommending suitable treatment plans Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health professionals to design treatment interventions Administer psychotropic and other medications, monitoring for and documenting reactions Facilitate further medical intervention when necessary Support patients in understanding their conditions and embracing treatment Maintain a safe, secure clinical environment for all staff and patients Monitor and address patient pain, documenting treatment and outcomes Ensure all patient interactions and medical records are confidential and accurately documented Perform necessary administrative tasks, including filing, answering calls, and completing progress notes Deliver courteous, high-quality service to patients, families, and the public
