Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients on admission, considering their physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs Reassess patient conditions regularly, utilizing the nursing process and systematic databases Develop, review, and update individualized care plans, incorporating ongoing reassessment data Administer medications safely using the seven rights and monitor/document their effectiveness Perform treatments and procedures according to hospital policy, sterile technique, and patient privacy standards Document care delivery accurately, addressing pain management, discharge planning, patient education, and progress toward goals Educate patients and families tailored to individual needs, utilizing resources like Krames when appropriate Communicate promptly using SBAR during all handoffs, and notify healthcare team members of changes in patient condition Adhere to hospital infection control, safety protocols, and the National Patient Safety Goals Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and understand the teaching/physician residency model
Qualifications:
Active RN license and experience in emergency nursing
BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC
required;
TNCC/ATCN/CEN
highly preferred Proficient in caring for patients from infancy through geriatrics Strong critical thinking, communication, and rapid assessment abilities
