Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Experience the heart of Kentucky with a rewarding travel opportunity as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Shepherdsville. Just a short drive from vibrant cities and scenic countryside, this assignment enables healthcare professionals to grow their skills in a region celebrated for both hospitality and picturesque landscapes. Schedule/Hours:
Shifts:
6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (12-hour) Weekend rotation: 4 weekend shifts per month
On-call:
None Holiday work as needed Schedule set a month at a time
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based respiratory care to adults with conditions such as COPD, cystic fibrosis, heart failure, transplant recovery, and neuro cases Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent patients (capped at 6 vents in ICU) Perform oxygen and aerosol/MDI treatments, trach management, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, PEP therapy, ABG analysis, and ventilator adjustments Be adaptable and ready to expand your skills with pediatric and rehab patient populations as needed Use EMR (Cerner), Omnicell med dispensing, and a range of advanced ventilatory equipment Float within nearby departments if required, ensuring broad clinical exposure
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience, including adult critical care Open to first-time travelers with prior adult critical care background
Credentials:
Active RRT or highly experienced CRT; BLS and ACLS certification Willingness to learn pediatric skills on-site Strong flexibility and commitment to high-quality care
