Travel Registered Telemetry Unit Nurse

Category Nursing - RN-Tele Job Type Travel An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical care. This contracted position supports adult and adolescent populations in a dynamic, inpatient trauma level 2 setting. The unit operates with 90 beds and manages a diverse patient group ranging from 15 years and older.

Schedule Options:

Day Shift (7:00am - 7:30pm), Night Shift (7:00pm - 7:30am)

Shift Length:

12 hours

Floating:

Required to Rancho Springs Hospital when needed

Rotation:

Every 6 weeks

Weekend Requirement:

2 weekends per month or 4 weekend days

Qualifications and Experience:

Active, unencumbered RN license Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical nursing Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association or equivalent) Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, monitoring, and care planning Adaptability to float between units and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Proven ability to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced setting

Cerner Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage patients with acute and chronic conditions on a med/surg-telemetry unit Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 (telemetry) and 5:1 (med/surg) Document patient information accurately utilizing facility's electronic system Coordinate with providers and ancillary teams for patient care Respond promptly to changes in patient status and intervene per established protocols Demonstrate leadership with patient safety, fall prevention, and infection control practices This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact among a supportive multidisciplinary team in a well-established healthcare environment.
