Travel Rehab RN - Laupahoehoe, Hawaii

Category Nursing - RN-Rehab/LTC Job Type Travel This role is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care to provide skilled nursing services in a hospital-based long-term care facility in Laupahoehoe, HI. The position involves conducting patient assessments, administering treatments and medications, coordinating with physicians or nurse practitioners, and supporting daily living activities. Additional responsibilities include care for gastrostomy tubes, urinary catheters, nebulizer treatments, wound vac management, CPAP care, and patient admissions and discharges.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Active RN license (must obtain Hawaii state license by assignment start if not already held) Experience in Rehab/LTC nursing Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and interventions Competency in specialized care techniques including wound vacs and respiratory treatments

Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and administer medication/treatments Notify MD/NP of critical patient information Support activities of daily living (ADL) for residents Provide specialized care including gastrostomy tube, urinary catheter, nebulizer, wound vac, and CPAP Manage patient admissions and discharges Collaborate with the care team to ensure quality care

Schedule/Hours:

Varied 8-hour shifts: Days (7:30 am-3:30 pm), Evenings (3:00 pm-11:30 pm), Nights (11:00 pm-7:30 am) Includes weekends, holidays, and possible overtime rotations No guaranteed hours or shift preferences

Important Pre-Start Requirement:

Candidates must arrive the Thursday before assignment start to attend an employee health appointment on Friday. Candidates unable to meet this must not accept the start date. This assignment is travel-based; candidates should be flexible to relocate temporarily to Hawaii.
