This travel assignment delivers unique professional growth by inviting you to work among diverse clinical teams, observe a range of workplace practices, and collaborate with seasoned nurse leaders. The experience will bolster your resume with hands-on exposure to med/tele and progressing PCU care, advanced monitoring technology, and critical medical diagnoses such as heart failure, chest pain, and complex post-procedure care. Schedule/Hours 12-hour shifts (0645-1915 or 1845-0715) Every other weekend rotation No call requirements Expectation to work 75% of holidays 6-week schedule cycles Qualifications 18+ months of recent Med/Tele RN experience (travel RNs must live 50+ miles from facility) Current, active RN license BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Strong skills in: PIV starts, NG tube management, pleurx and surgical drain care, chest tube management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrated drips, TR bands Not open to first-time travelers Responsibilities Manage 4-6 (sometimes up to 7-8 during surges) adult patients, adjusting to acuity levels Provide proficient care for patients with cardiac, medical, and stepdown/PCU needs Collaborate with CNAs, resource nurses, and other interdisciplinary teams Adapt to regional floating within scope, with paid travel time if reassigned mid-shift Utilize Epic EMR, Omnicell, Alaris pumps, and Philips monitors Benefits & Travel Perks Premium compensation Comprehensive healthcare coverage and 401(k) option Support with travel arrangements Tax-advantaged stipends for housing and meals Consistent work schedules for job security Free parking and team-oriented unit culture Step out of the ordinary and take your med/surg skills to the next level while enjoying all that Salisbury and the surrounding region have to offer.
