Schedule/Hours:

Choice of 3x12-hour shifts (6:00am-6:30pm) or 4x10-hour shifts (6:00am-4:30pm) Call requirements: 1 weekend per month, plus 1-2 weekday calls as scheduled by unit needs

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of OR experience specializing in cardiac, vascular, and robotic procedures Current NBSTSA certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Demonstrated expertise in CVOR environments and familiarity with the latest surgical technologies Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and surgical best practices

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare the cardiovascular operating room and maintain strict sterile techniques throughout procedures Select, assemble, and handle necessary surgical instruments and supplies for cardiac, vascular, and robotic operations Collaborate closely with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesiologists to achieve optimal patient outcomes Anticipate surgical team needs by maintaining a high level of situational awareness and readiness Respond efficiently to emergent situations, adapting swiftly to evolving case requirements Ensure accurate counts of supplies, sponges, and instruments in compliance with procedural protocols Professional development, exposure to cutting-edge cardiovascular and robotic surgical technology, and the chance to work with a supportive multidisciplinary team await you.
