Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred) Current Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement Knowledgeable in IDEA, FAPE, effective IEP development, and behavioral intervention strategies Experience serving students with a range of learning, emotional, and developmental disabilities Excellent communication abilities and strong teamwork orientation Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive practices (preferred)
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction and behavioral supports to students in grades 9-12 Adapt curriculum for student accessibility to general education standards Develop, implement, and continually monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Promote student participation in the least restrictive environment Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families Maintain a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom culture
