Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Travel Pikeville, KY is an inviting destination for healthcare professionals eager to immerse themselves in the rich culture and scenic beauty of eastern Kentucky. Schedule/Hours:
Day shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm Standard 36/48 hours schedule every two weeks unless otherwise specified Occasional call for stroke evaluations only when no speech coverage is available (rare)
Desired Qualifications:
Active Kentucky Speech-Language Pathologist license Minimum of 2 years' experience in the field Pediatric outpatient experience Inpatient swallowing and modified barium swallow proficiencies Must reside at least 75 miles from Pikeville to qualify for this travel assignment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for hospital patients, with a focus on both pediatric outpatient and inpatient populations Provide modified barium swallow studies and interpret results Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans Participate in bi-weekly orientation for continued education and seamless integration into hospital protocols On-call responsibilities reserved for infrequent coverage gaps involving stroke evaluations
