Job Description

Hours/Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (PM) Every other weekend required Every other holiday required 13-16 week contract Step into a 33-bed progressive care/stepdown unit serving diverse patient populations, including cardiac telemetry, vascular, med-surg, and post-procedural care. Collaborate with an engaged healthcare team using the latest clinical technology and protocols, strengthening your clinical decision-making and leadership skills.
Qualifications/Skills:
Active RN license (Ohio or compact) Minimum 2 years recent stepdown/PCU experience
BLS & ACLS
certifications required Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available) Strong clinical judgment, ability to respond confidently to rapidly changing conditions Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience with lines/drains/devices; familiarity with
EPIC EHR
preferred
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive patient assessments; develop and evaluate plans of care Safely administer cardiac medications and drips Monitor and interpret telemetry strips once per shift Coordinate care and deliver thorough patient and family education Collaborate with ancillary and interdisciplinary team members Respond as a patient advocate and participate in ongoing quality improvement
